VETERAN midfielder, Lindokuhle Mbatha has emphasized the importance of winning our home games.
TS Galaxy will battle it out for maximum points against AmaZulu on Wednesday at Mbombela Stadium. The game will kickoff at 7.30pm.
The Rockets shared the spoils in a 1-1 stalemate against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila this past weekend at Thohoyandou Stadium.
Bevan Fransman was on the scoresheet for the Rockets. His goal was cancelled by Mogakolodi Ngele after the interval.
After one game, Galaxy have amassed one point. On Wednesday we will lock horns against AmaZulu in our own territory.
Speaking with TS Galaxy website, Mbatha made it clear that we can’t afford to drop points in our own territory.
“Winning home games is non negotiable. We have to win our home matches. It doesn’t matter whether fans will be there or not,” Mbatha elaborated.
The 35-year-old is still going strong. He played a pivotal role this past weekend in our tussle against TTM. He notched up an assist for Fransman.
“A point is better than nothing. We fought gallantly for the point. You may never know. This point can make a difference at the end of the season. We wanted to collect maximum points,” he added.
Galaxy will be appearing at home for the first time in the new season.
“We played well against TTM. We need to work on our finishing. We are creating chances and we are getting in to the right areas but we are not ruthless enough. If we can convert our chances, I have no doubt that we will start winning games,” Mbatha detailed.
Our lads are heading in to Usuthu oozing with confidence.
“AmaZulu signed good players. We have to give our all. We know that it won’t be an easy game but we want to win our first home game.” Mbatha stated.
