Shozi confident of a good result in MP derby

23 January 2020 – TS Galaxy hard working midfielder Khayelihle Shozi is confident and hoping for a win when they will be going head to head with their rivals Mbombela United in a Glad Africa Championship encounter on Sunday afternoon at Kameelrivier Stadium.

The on-form 25-year-old has found the back of the net twice this season but has been highly instrumental in creating goals and orchestrating the club’s attacks.

Speaking ahead of the Mpumalanga derby against United, Shozi said he was confident of a good result as the club continues chasing their dream of promotion to the premier division.

“With my current form, I’m highly confident that we are going to win this game against Mbombela on Sunday. My main focus is to see the team winning and getting results. This will push me to to keep pushing with the performance that I’m giving at the moment” Shozi said.

Shozi added that he is not entirely happy with the way his side have done in the GladAfrica Championship this season.

“As much as I’m on a good form, I’m not quite happy with how the team performed in the last game. If you look at our last three matches our performance was good. We were just unlucky to lose in the dying minutes against Real Kings and JDR” concluded Shozi.

The Rockets and Tingwenyama shared the spoils when they played a goalless draw at Kanyamazane Stadium.

A win against Mbombela United will be a great confidence booster for the team before traveling to the Eastern Cape to take on Chippa United as they embark on their Nedbank Cup title defence.

Galaxy are occupying position 11 on the log with 21 points from 18 outings.
