Rockets shift focus to Glad Africa Championship

4 October 2019 – Following an impressive start to their maiden CAF Confederations Cup, TS Galaxy FC shift their focus to the Glad Africa Championship this weekend when they travel to Bethlehem to face Free State Stars at Goble Park.

Saturday’s encounter set to kick off at 15h30 will be the club’s fourth domestic fixture of the season as they juggle their busy schedule that sees them represent South Africa in the Confederations Cup following their historic Nedbank Cup triumph.

Dan Malesela’s charges will not be too alarmed by their 11th placed position on the table.

Even with three games to catch up to, The Rockets are just eight points behind log leaders JDR, after registering a victory and two draws in their three opening fixtures to the season.

With the confidence boosting 4-1 aggregate win over Madagascar’s CNaPS Sport this past weekend, the clash against Stars on Saturday will see the club aiming for maximum points as they continue their quest to be crowned Glad Africa Championship champions.

Judging from the club’s training session yesterday, Malesela’s charges looked geared up and ready to cause an upset in Bethlehem on Saturday.

The Rockets will have their final training session this afternoon before heading to Bethlehem for Saturday’s clash.
