TS Galaxy will look to end their winless run in the National First Division (NFD) when they visit Real Kings at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
Galaxy saw their winless sequence extended to four matches after playing out a 1 – 1 draw against Ubuntu Cape Town at Kameelrivier Stadium on Sunday. The Mpumalanga side has claimed three points from a possible 12, scoring four and conceding five.
A positive for Galaxy heading into the encounter is that they have lost only once in four matches since the beginning of their league campaign, while the other three games ended in draws. Placed 13th on the log table, The Rockets are three spots ahead of Kings who are propping up the NFD table.
Kings on the other hand are yet to win a match this season and will be looking to snap a three – match losing streak tomorrow. The Kwa – Zulu Natal side head into the match on the back of a 1 – 0 loss to University of Pretoria more than a week ago.
Reflecting on the draw against Ubuntu, The Rockets head coach Dan Malesela says it’s important that they take advantage their scoring chances if they are to beat Kings.
“We need to have that instinct of wanting to score goals. It’s not a question of us going out there and pleasing people by passing the ball around and then when we get to the area where it matters the most we fumble” says Malesela.
Malesela also appealed for patience from The Rockets fans, saying he’s confident that the club’s performance will improve.
“I am asking our fans to be patient a little bit. I know there is no time you know, but just to be patient a little bit we will get this team right”.
