TS Galaxy will be gunning for their first win of the 2018/19 National First Division (NFD) season when they visit Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
Anything less than a win won’t be enough for Galaxy who are now on a two – match winless run heading into their third fixture of the season.
Galaxy got their league campaign off to a stuttering start after playing out a 1 – 1 draw against fellow NFD newcomers Cape Umoya United in their opening match more than a week ago, which they followed up with a 2 – 2 draw against Jomo Cosmos in their most recent fixture on Sunday.
Following their two consecutive home draws The Rockets find themselves lying 9th on the log standings of the second tier with two points, four spots behind the 5th placed Tshakhuma who have four points to their name.
The Rockets have an uphill battle ahead of them tomorrow as they will be up against a side in high spirits after breaking a duck with a 2 – 1 win over Real Kings on Sunday. Tshakhuma played out a 0 – 0 draw against Uthongathi FC in their season opener more than a week ago.
Galaxy head into the match boasting a better scoring record than the Limpopo – based outfit, having found the back of the net three times compared to Tshakhuma’s two goals, however their defense needs to improve as they’ve conceded the same number of goals they have scored in their opening two matches, while their next opponents have only conceded once.
The match, which was initially set to be played at New Peter Mokaba Stadium, is scheduled to get underway at 15h00.
